A double-batch of gumbo, straight out of Emeril Lagasse’s “New Orleans: Real And Rustic”

I do a fair amount of cooking, but I like to keep things simple — usually in one pot or pan, and recipes that yield yummy leftovers that reheat well in the microwave.

When it comes to food, I’m also a creature of habit! I like to try new restaurants, but once I find a dish at a given eatery that I really like, I tend to order that same dish each time I visit. So for me, each restaurant has a “signature dish” that I associate with the place, and my recommendations for that restaurant reflect that.

So, these pages are a place for me to post recipes and food finds, and I’m happy to have feedback — especially if you try them or have suggestions to me to try!
